The idea was to make a country-esque mix without the use of uncle tupelo/wilco/son volt songs (which I sometimes lean on too heavily), and I nearly made it, but right near the end of side two, somehow, without my consent, that son volt song crept in there. Regardless, a good tape for sitting on the porch out of the sun, sipping something cold and swatting the flies. Reminds me of summer (made the tape back in July).Feedback:
beautiful songs, beautiful title. I think some people underestimate the importance of a good porch. Terrific Cowboy Junkies pick. Just looking at the song titles makes me wish I were at home instead of at work.
If you're out on the porch, you'll need the entire Sweet Ona Rose album (one of the best records ever made).
