Comment:

Many things have happened over the past year and a half. Three of them are relevant to the creation of this mix.

1. I got downsized, and am now making my living purely on freelance. This is not a bad thing,as one
of my clients has a nationally syndicated radio, for which I write scripts. As a result, I've been exposed to a lot of cool music. Did I mention that that free CDs are one of the perks?

2. I returned to radio...not for a living, but for the love of it. As a result of it, I was introduced to the client I refer to in #1.

3. My friend, Dan, who in college, was into club music, came to me a year ago, and told me that since
he was turned on to Jay Farrar and Lucinda Williams, he's been heavily into the whole Americana/Roots/No Depression experience. He's sice made me a handful of altcountry mixes that I'm very impressed with.

With that in mind, despite the fact that I've made him mixes before, I owed him a special exclusive mix, made just for him. This is comprised entirely of songs from 2003 and 2002, that I came across in my freelance work, and that I played on my radio show...

...the show, "Debts No Honest Man Can Pay," can be heard Mondays on WHFR 89.3 FM. Currently, it's on from noon-2pm, but will be moving to 2-4pm. Curious? Listen online @ www.whfr.fm
