CINEMA-PHONIC vol ~1~
Perhaps the Less-Obvious Song Selections?

The first release of a trilogy which compiles:
a) Modern, soundtrack songs I like... -WHICH USUALLY:
b) aren't the most obvious selections from soundtracks...
-BUT:
c) the 'Perhaps' part absolves me of any flights of fancy that opening defy the 'Less-Obvious Song Selections' part.

The subtext of this project:
a) To finally get rid of soundtrack Cds in my collection, some of which existed there soley on the strength of a single track.
b) To include great songs heard in a movie, (some) for legal reasons weren't included on the official soundtrack CD (Wes Anderson films are a nice example and a prime motivator)

* Of considerable interest: 'Alone Again Or' BOTTLEROCKET - Love / Love Missle F1-11 FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF - Sigue Sigue Sputnik - were NOT available on their respective soundtrack cds (in fact, a legitimate soundtrack cd for FERRIS BUELLER was never released).

This was my entrant into CDX02, Sept. 2002.

Wow. This is awesome! And what a great cover! I wish I had a CD burner so I could trade you for this because this is fantastic. (Isn't Bottle Rocket a great movie?)
