Comment:

CINEMA-PHONIC vol ~3~
Still More of 'Perhaps the Less-Obvious Song Selections?'

The final volume of a trilogy which compiles:
a) Modern, soundtrack songs I like... -WHICH USUALLY:
b) aren't the most obvious selections from soundtracks...
-BUT:
c) the 'Perhaps' part absolves me of any flights of fancy that opening defy the 'Less-Obvious Song Selections' part.

The subtext of this project:
a) To finally get rid of soundtrack Cds in my collection, some of which existed there soley on the strength of a single track.
b) To include great songs heard in a movie, (some) for legal reasons weren't included on the official soundtrack CD (Wes Anderson films are a nice example and a prime motivator)

* Of considerable interest:'Kiss' by Prince in PRETTY WOMAN / 'Pushin' Forward Back' by Temple of the Dog in BENNY & JOON / 'Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard' by Paul Simon in THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS- were NOT available on their respective soundtrack cds. (An updated 'collectors edition' of TRT cd eventually DID contain the Paul Simon track...

What a fabulous series and i really hope there's no more because it truly depresses me that i do not own these or have the means of creating them myself. Super job! I especially like the Spinal Tap, Some Kind Of Wonderful and Gonna Git You Sucka picks!
