SPIRIT OF RADIO (String tribute)- Makes me feel like I'm watching the beginning of a movie. neato. IT'S GONNA BE A LONG NIGHT (ween)- Love Ween, this is just a straight out rocker...it almost opened the disc, but the strings won out. IF I COULD ONLY SEE HIS FACE (blind boys of alabama)- Found this on a tribute to the Stones' 'Between the Buttons' album...pretty neat cover. GOOD FRIDAY (black crowes) I love this song...the crowes are a band I gave up on years ago, but have since come back to as of late...I miss them already. DIAMOND DOGS (bowie) only 53 more sleeps till Bowie plays Winnipeg. MIXED BIZNESS (beck) cool tune off of Midnite Vultures...he needs to get weird again soon though. MAGIC FINGERS (zappa) From the 200 Motels soundtrack, the 'single version'. Great riff. ALL MY LIFE (foo fighters) This is where the disc breaks down a bit in my eyes...I love the foo, but in retrospect, not sure if this belongs here..too late now, I suppose. LADYSHAVE (gus gus) see my comments on the foo. SINCE YOU'RE GONE (cars)...I love the cars. hard. Not as popular a song as 'Shake It Up' or 'you Might Think,' but that just adds to its charm. IT'S YER MONEY I'M AFTER (wonderstuff) late 80s british one-hitters. Poppy and happy, like many late 80s british one-hitters were. YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT (less than jake) from the Greased tribute album. Great cover. CHOP SUEY (soad) My favorite outright metal band working today...I like the arabic tones they bring to the table...keeps shit interesting. COP KILLER (body count) Hey Tipper, it's available on the internet! Not a spectacular song, it's here for street cred only. But I'm an Ice-T whore, too, so there ya go. YOU WIN AGAIN (keith richards) from the hank Williams Sr Tribute. I love how the stones turn Keith's mic down when it's his turn to sing. GOODBYE TO ROMANCE (Lisa Loeb and Dweezil Zappa)- From the ozzy tribute, bat's head soup. Straight cover, but better than most of the songs on the album, and not one that's been overplayed on commercial rock radio or classic rock radio (unlike Crazy Train). MY SHIT'S FUCKED UP (warren zevon) from his final album...kinda summed up his situation at the time, and this disc as a whole. Enjoy.
