Comment:
The first half of this disc documents some of Sub Pops heavier momments between 96 and 04 and then slowly creeps into more singer/songwriter-acoustic type songs. Between 1993 and 1997, Sub Pop really hit a lull but they turned it around and started to cultivate a really diverse and interesting roster. I think this mix crystallizes that. Oh, and, the selection process for this disc, and the other disc, were pretty simple...I only picked bands which I enjoy. Hot Hot Heat, The Constantines and The Postal Service are pretty boring bands, in my opinion, so thats why they arent on this mix.Feedback:
10-18 -- Awesome; just my cup of tea.
It makes me just a little bit sad that Postal Service and the Constantines bore you. But the mix sounds good....
what, no rogue wave? no like? just been scanning through yr mixes; i'm so impressed! awesome stuff.
