Comment:

I made this a couple weeks back and give a few copies to co-workers. I don't think they dug it.
Anyway, 2004; well, it was no 1977 but it wasn't too bad, in terms of music. I'd say better than 2003. Here's 32 songs, which defined this year of new music for me. Biggest surprise: SMiLE by Brian Wilson. Biggest disappointment: It's All Around You by Tortoise.

This looks cool. And I actually like the Tortoise album. I'm very interested in hearing CocoRosie.

You're too hip for your own good (or maybe I'm just getting old and tragically UNhip)! ; ) I'm sure I'd like some of these, although I wouldn't know where to start. What I know (Comets, Banhart, Doiron, Lanegan, A.C. Newman, Wilson), however, I like

Rob - Other than the first track, I thought the Tortoise album was very boring. Oh, and, you should def. check out CocoRosie as I know you are a fan of Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom. Very similar to them.

Missed this one...

Very nice. Familiar with most, looking forward to seeking out the ones I'm not.

This is terrific Salman. I've got Smile on as I write- it slowly but surely gets under your skin, eh? I think it might be a masterpiece.
