Comment:

So, Moe noticed I'd put an Oh OK song on one of my mixes. So he wrote and asked if I had "Such & Such" on CD. As it turns out, I do, thanks to TNG (thanks TNG!). This, of course, set up a situation in which I was morally and musically obligated to put together a Moe mix.

So I tried to put together a mix as Moe would put together a mix - full of sunshine and pretty female vocals and catchy riffs. And I soon realized that I couldn't possibly do Moe as well as Moe does Moe, and why should I? AotM already has a Moe (and thank goodness for that!) And I don't have anywhere near enough Beach Boys covers to do it justice anyway.

So, I thought back to the first time I played one of Moe's compilations. I remember a smile creeping over my face and not leaving; I remember my feet tapping, my head bopping, and eventually my booty shaking; but mostly I remember thinking "My God! This sounds just like a mix my ex-husband Greg would put together!"

Greg has excellent taste in music; and is in part responsible for my music collection. I tried to channel him and this is what happened. It's for Moe (except for the Pianosaurus cut, which is for Yvette).

Wowee zowee!! I feel like I'm late to my own party. This looks perfect Jenny -- and completely unexpected. There's not much I know here, but I'm sure I'm gonna love it (and I'm sure Yvette will enjoy that Pianosaurus song as well). Thanks for including the Oh OK too. You're much more than oh okay in my book.

This looks extrememly entertaining. I especially dig the upbeat closing track, and am a fan of 5 Chinese Bros. and Bio Ritmo. The Lobus Malina track intrigues me. Nust hear it.

great mix and it made me chuckle knowing just how much Cruella dislikes that Debby Harry and Iggy Pop version . . . . I love it, by the way . . .
