Comment:
A collection of wonderful and mostly obscure gems scoured from an assortment of audioblogs. (I'm sure most of these selections are no longer available at this point.) Starts off with some grand orchestral rock; the first track is the song the Verve got in so much trouble for sampling for Bittersweet Symphony. The mix then gets a little French, then moves into some raw glammy rock. (The Scritti Politti track is an early one which sounds much more like T. Rex than it does like Wood Beez.) I round out the mix with some more rock, some funkier numbers and a relatively subdued finale. (This is actually a CD mix disguised as a MP3 playlist.)Feedback:
Aren't blogs great? I recognize a few of these, but I'd like to find the blogs that hosted Sagittarius, Love and the Brunettes
I mean Luv of course -- two completely different bands obviously!
Alas, I didn't keep track of where all of these were from. The Cud and ELO were from spoiltvictorianchild, Ms. Taieb, Slade, T. Rex and Dolly
Parton from bubblegum machine. Don't know where I got the rest but I'll drop a note if I can figure anything out. Holler if you want a copy!
