Comment:

I actually remember where I was when I first heard the song Marquee Moon: Back when I was in high school in Urbana Illinois, trying to get to sleep late one spring night and listening to the college radio station. The moon that night was fringed with lovely "moon dogs" and the DJ was playing a set of moon-related tracks. Marquee Moon made me (I think literally) sit up and take notice; I knew this was a band I wanted to hear more of. So this is my own take on the Moon theme, a collection of memorable and sometimes mysterious tracks that have something or other to do with moons. (This is actually a CD mix, in case anyone is inclined to trade.)

Totally cool. I also like the irony that you would've seen the moon landing on television.

Tres bien! Sloan has a song called "The Marquee and the Moon" that wouldn't be entirely out of place on this mix.
