Comment:

Some raw, energetic African funk/Afrobeat, mostly from the 70s. (Well, a couple of these aren't really funk or afrobeat per se, but they're great. )

OOO I loves the afro beat and I don't think I have any of these (except for the fela and tony tracks). Trade ja? What albums are these off of?

Thanks, everyone for the comments. The first two tracks are off a couple of great west african funk compilations called Booniey and The Danque. (You can get them on eMusic, along with the Tony Allen track). A couple others I believe came from a great MP3 blog called Benn Loxo Du Taccu. (http://www.mattgy.net/music/) Not sure how the others found their way onto my hard drive.
