Comment:
Rowdy, raucous, and ruckus-raising 'round the world. Signed and unsigned. Big names and some not-so.., all have proved worthy of my attention over the last few months in conversations with many included. Careful--smoke gets in your eyes.File Under:Blows speakers
Feedback:
OOO! I get to go first . . . . LOVE the Kelley track . . . mmmm, what else do I know?Would love to file this under 'blows speakers' one day . . . .
Rollin & smokin around the world -- & a change of pace from what I've heard of yours in the past - but we know the versatile valis inhabits many different dimansions.
I do need something to test my speakers with - could this be it?

Fuckin' A............
Looks cool, though I must confess that I'm not familiar with much of anything here--I don't even know which are the big names and which are the not-sos. I'd love to hear this.
A whole bunch new to me...which just gets me giddy with excitement. What is it about having new music brought into my life that gets me so friggin' happy? No drug could ever compare.
oh yeah! rock me, amadeus...
I know no-one. I'm particularly irked by my ignorance of 2 & 10 since I live in Manchester (UK). Yep, I'm with everyone else here... I'd love to hear it.
Ohhhh yeaaaahhh...share yr love of The Black Angels, man. Super-badass band, very BJM-esque. Other than Kelley Stoltz, I haven't heard of much else on here. So, defiitely some new stuff to check out.
This looks damn great. Love the cover art also.
Looks good from where I'm sitting. Of course I'd be lying if I told you I was familiar with any of this, other that an artist or two. Is that one of the brothers from the J&MC on the cover?
i can only recall three or four artists off this mix but what attracted me to it was definitely the cover. Just a wonderful image. I first thought it might eb Robert Smith of the Cure
Wow, I barely know a track here, not even the Melbourne band! This looks great though. Definitely some new stuff to check out.
I'm pretty much in the same territory as everyone else here mon ami. Cept for The Black Angels & Kelley Stolz I know diddly squat! There's a section in my collection kept separate for Valis mixes, methinks this mix would rest well alongside the other fab cd's from your good self.
What Jeb said. This is some kick ass stuff. You rock it, Valis!
I'm not sure I have heard anything here, love to do that
Only know 9 & 14 but the rest looks tantalising to say the least.
I recognize the font, but that's about it. Hopefully I'll be receiving enlightenment soon.
An eye-opening trip (or roll) into the unknown. Nobody does it like v.
There is no happening like the release of the new Valis mix. Can there be a better band name than Sparkling Fountains of Magical Reality? Count me among your biggest fans. Is there a link to this?
Oh, almost missed this one. Only know a couple of these bands (3, 18) but really need to check out the rest.
sweet jesu! buddha have mercy! i can honestly say i haven't heard any of these tunes, and yet, from your art alone, i KNOW that i MUST. lay it on me BRUDDAH, show me the way!
Did I comment on this? Gah, I really can't remember, it's been a pretty hazy week. heh heh. Even if I did, it bears repeating that the Black Angels do indeed, rule. As I'm sure do most of the artists on this one, if it's coming from you. The band names from 10-12 sound incredible, though. :-)
This looks fascinating and beautiful.
Valis...it's not what i do know, it's what I don't know that fascinates me. You definately dug deeply for this one. Go Cards.
Yeah, this is ass kicking all over. Pretty fucking bad ass mix, Mr. Valis.
Don't know anything on this, but it rocks and rolls, I'll bet
Re my original comment, this does indeed nestle well amongst other 'Valisian' delights. Busy packing my rucsac for Equitorial Guinea if 'Riff Random' is an indicator of what's blowin' speakers out there. Amongst other faves (for me anyway)are the Second Floor & Blue Sunshine Minds tracks. No surprise when I inform, this was way too much for the good lady to handle, as a result I'm listening to this for the second time this evening through my headphones. Now if you could only point me in the direction of Equitorial Guinea my good man!
I'm going to see The Upsidedown tonight!
