Comment:

Hail Voyagers!
No better day than the Summer Solstice to return to AotM. (At least that's what I'm telling myself.) A seamless skein of songs in a summery salutation, a salute to the season. May it please.
"Do you think I know what I'm doing?
That for one breath or half-breath I belong to myself?
As much as a pen knows what it's writing,
or the ball can guess where it's going next." -Rumi
"Mr. Duffy lived a short distance from his body." -James Joyce, Ulysses
Wanna' hear it? Go Here
*** Special tip o' the helmet to Musicgnome for the seamless blend! You're a Wizard.

V, you have reached the perihelion - the closest someone could get to the sun and still make superradiant mixes.

Yesterday AM, listening to the local radio station for traffic/weather, I heard the man say that today (yesterday) was the longest daylight-hour day of the year...
...and you're the 1st person I thought of after he said that. Mr. Solstice.

It wouldn't be Summer Solstice without you, Valis. It was great to awaken to this mix this afternoon after an all-nite download. Enjoyed everything, but Caribou, The Broken West and the McCartney-esque Key stood out. Also good to get reacquainted with Mortimer and the Ruby Suns. And I'll tip my Padre's batter's helmet to the gnomester for the excellent seamless segues. What a team! Solstice ice ice baby!

Just Brilliant. Decided to give this one a listen before commenting and loved it. Highlights? All of it, though the Singing To the Sunshine / Lazy Bird run was beudiful. Great closer as well. Oh, and I must get my hands on more El Goodo, prior to this all I'd heard from them was a version of Trigger Cut by 'em...
Props the the Gnome for a blinding blending job....

Solar power!!!! As a sun-worshipper & a lazy bird myself, I look forward to pulling down the power
of these tunes & basking in the positive energy of a Voyaging Valis Mix.

My favorite part is the last run from Caribou to Vandervelve. Sunkissed compilation.

Uploaded my first mix in here, still unexperienced on the site but hope you like it:

This mix brought in the dawn Solstice down in Marennes (dunno whether the other holiday makers appreciated it though lol) So pleased I now have a track list, love it all and it's great to see Field Music - from my home town - amongst such esteemed company. She, she, she shine on mon ami!
