Comment:
For my great friend Jim k.! Although this all took place "Sometime Ago" and now it's "Gone And Passes By", he consistently shows me he has maintained the ability to "Love,Dance & Sing". Salute! For more background on this mix go here.
Feedback:
If I could go back in time for a few minutes, I'd be High on a Cloud, & smoking an electric banana!
Any chance I could trade you something for this?

OHM my, a trio of electric fruit, Gurus, Magoos & a candy timepiece to name but a few. My ears need to hear this mon ami.
Looks really tremendous V, Great back story on the blog too. I'd love to hear this too when we iron out a trade. Love that Paul Revere pick.
Where do I get an eye like that - by listening to this mix perhaps?
You dawg! "Sometime Ago" indeed! You've placed my old assembly, "The Traits" among some truly olympian groups (for which I am deeply humbled) and brought some great memories to mind. Nice to see Gary Walker and Rain up there. He was overshadowed by Scott "Walker" (the greatest voice in pop music, bar none) and had a lot to say outside of The Walker Brothers. The Shag's "Stop and Listen" shared space with "High on a Cloud" on Pebbles Volume 5... definitely worth a listen. I'd forgotten that I'd played Count Five's "Psychotic Reaction" 45 so many times (back in the day) that I wore it down to an unlistenable plate of crackle and clicks, great song! The Raiders were actually a much better band than their persona's on "Where the Action Is" might've indicated, well produced recordings with a very heavy bottom end for those times. That's really a superb line-up (I hope it's obvious that I'm talking about the groups you've surrounded us with) and though it's probably not proper for me to cast a vote under these conditions, it looks like a "Mix of the Week" to me!!
looks like a really good time to me
This sounds like the soundtrack to a great AIP flick. Bruce Dern is in it. Groovy.
Dig It!
Splendiferous, Wonderous and Pleasing to both ears and third eye.
Wonderful my friend. 3 thumbs up ( why they laugh? )..
Cool mix & inspiration. Couldn't agree more on Gary Walker. Digging out that Traits track now.
Man, this looks great.
The "eyes" have it! My own eyes are seeing triple with all these groovy delights and that flowery cover. Hope this finds its way into my mailbox at a later date.
Those were the days! Super set of a few well known ones from back in the day and some underappreciated valis discoveries. Salute backatcha.
Very cool.
Far out, man! Lots o' great, great picks.

Looking good. Just checked out your blog too (and lo-fi's) - tres impressive.
What Sean said (the first time)
You're doing great work, my friend.
Whoa, fantastic indeed.
Groove.
Su-perb, my friend. Looks like a great trip.
I must confess that my ether-based 3rd eye is blind to most.checks play-list again...ALL of this, V. I DO, however, have the good sense to rely upon the remarks of those (in the know) who have commented before me. And so (with the preamble out of the way) I say:
"Great mix!"
"Great mix!"
Some of my most loved tracks from the golden era are included here, O lover of the pineal gland. Hail Ajna! and may your third eye always be squeegy-ed clean!
Wonderful stuff, valis. A few known faves in here but the rest are all very welcome unknowns. Great work (and great blog too) :)
Currently enjoying my new eye - it's very fetching... as is this.Ta for the download!
Another fine assortment of delights for our delectation. Good to see a couple of Electric Bananas in there too, Valis. Such pretty things...
Loved every single second of this Valis. A bloody marvel. MotW for me!
most of this i know and it's a suitably great mix from a great mixer who's a great guy to boot.
To maintain the ability to love, dance, and sing. I can't think of a better life's ambition. Your cover art has been so beautiful lately.
Mucho cool. I only recently got turned on to this Nuggets type stuff (with the reissue)- love it.
is this the light they keep tellin' me to go towards? i certainly hope so, bro!
Magical Martian miracle mood music, man! Thank you!
Now having had the blessing of hearing it -- always essential for me with your mixes -- it's fitting together for me into a single story - at the beginning "she doesn't understand" & it looks problematic - but then "there she goes" trying it out & high on a cloud & "she's about a mover", ending up with a joyful "love dance & sing" happy ending. Well, that's how it comes across to me, anyway.
Not sure I sprouted a third eye listening to this but I think it might have opened a "third ear" . . .

Bring on the fuzz and sitar riffs - it's a psych masterpiece, and a journey worth taking. Interesting to see JDV's cmt here, as I was thinking while listening that tracks 7&8 reminded me of joey de vivre meets valis!Muito obrigado meu amigo.
