Comment:
A presesnt for a friend's 50th birthday. He has great taste in "classic" underground music, but doesn't know that much current stuff. So I tried to mix it up for him. Thanks to GambleOn for turning me on to The Boy Most Likely To.
Title from NRBQ.
If this sounds intriguing to you, why not give it a listen.
Feedback:
Nice, especially the Beefheart and Lou Reed. And those Dictionaraoke always put a smile on my face.
Nice to be nestled up alongside you on the submissions board Jen & this is one helluva mix might I say.
Speaking as a 50+ male, this looks great.
Great stuff, love your 8-13 stretch in particular.
That Boy Least Likely To cut is definitely my favorite song of theirs. it's like a liquid injection of pure joy. Heaps of great stuff on this mix overall!
A fantastic blend of the weird & wonderful as usual. Very Jenergy! Did I really turn you on to 'The Boy Least Likely To'? I don't recall including them on a mix of mine so far...
Any mix that starts with that particular Fugs song and includes Captain Beefheart, the Treniers, NRBQ, the Swallows, Jonathan Richman, Louis Armstrong, and my favorite Tom Waits song (and many other great tracks) has me convinced. This is outstanding mixing.
Architecture In Helsinki!! Nice all around.
Does indeed look good; Dictionaraoke freaks me out!
Nice wrap up song from Lou Reed!
This is just brilliant. Oh yes indeedy do. Please make it available or I shall scream and scream and scream until I'm sick.
Yeah, this mix looks great, really to many choice picks to list. Looks like it would sound fantastic.
This looks like super-fun, uber-cool stuff, m'dear. Let me know when you're up for a trade and perhaps you could work this one into the bargain...
Really fantastic mix, Jenny - lots of wonderful mix. Love the Tom Waits -> Zager
& Evans stretch, The Decemberists, Liliput and Kirsty MacColl. I'm sure this'll go down very well with your friend.

Yummy! Fun for any age. Adorin' the BLLT (hold the mayo), Kirsty, Fire, Helsinki and Liliput especially.
I agree with Moe, who wouldn't love this mix!?!
I love about half of these & don't know about half of them, so
I'm rating it a perfect 50/50, the ideal mix mixture in my book.
