Comment:

My entire department moved to a new floor of our building about three weeks ago. Our new office has no window, and smells really bad. It's also boiling hot. Since the move, my office mate & I have been suffering from headaches, nausea, burning eyes, etc. We complained to our boss about this, to no avail. We contacted our boss's boss. We contacted the physical plant. We finally refused to come into the office any more. Yesterday they finally did a survey of the HVAC and found all sorts of irregularities. They say it will be fixed by mid-December, until which time I'm working at home, which I'm not very happy about.

Anyway, to celebrate, I pulled this together between coughing fits.

Thanks to Cruella, Joe Jackson, Moe, Gerry MacDonald, and Radio Sally for their contributions.

Title from Mr. Costello.

Oh boy Jen working from home rules, I just occasionally need to hire a lady with a whip to keep me motivated but it's a small price to pay, and judging by that picture of you It's clear it was time to get out. Call me old fashioned but I like my ladies sans beard. Anyways this looks like a veritable jamboree of fun and games considering the inspiration, and why does that Zevon track make me laugh when we all know how f**king sad it is?.

costello is king, buffett doesn't get enough play around here, and love the lehrer. sorry about the conditions but way to persist.

Stinky story! But like Barrydali says, working from home should be fun! You can crank up the music, create your own unpleasant odors and work in your undies , and who's gonna complain? Cool mix, btw. Glad that "Anthrax" by Gang of Four didn't have to be on it.

Sorry about the situation. But, love the resulting mix. Very cleverly utilized tracks. And, that Everyday Life Has Become A Health Risk track is freakin' perfect. I am VERY impressed.

This is brilliant. We've just been through a floor move (they're going to do asbestos removal on the floor I just spent 5 years on.) Love the Big Daddy, Elvis Lehrer and Zevon picks especially.

Oh dear... I do hope things improve. I'm with Barry, though, on the merits of working from home (minus lady with whip, obviously): you should relish the chance to email into work whilst clad in slippers and bathrobe.

Good on ya' for sticking to your lungs on the fight Jenergy! (I thought of "The Air That I Breathe" but your lineup to this mess is classic.)

Sounds horrible - hope it gets better soon and sorry to hear things haven't been going well. This is a really great "theme" mix, though, with perfect choices - love the Owls track! The Cramps and Talking Heads double whammy ending is great too.

If you are still able to turn out such quality mixing, I can but assume you are getting better. If this is not the case -- get well soon.
