Comment:

Well, this is my global mix inspired by fellow AOTMer Ion Moe. It was hard to keep within a theme AND make a mix that I really liked. The finished product is a bit of a compromise really. I could have gone all out for the max number of countries but A-ha(Norway), Crowded House (New Zealand) and a few others just didn't fit the mood of the mix.
In some cases I have cheated a bit...not all of Salad and Ladytron are from Netherlands/Hungary but anyone who wants to take isssue knows where to find me ;)
Sadly I can't enter the title of the Naik Borzov song in Cyrillic characters and I don't know what it is in English. Anyone out there care to help?

I love Girlfrendo. They are such sweet girls and used to write super fanzines back in the day! You know I have still not heard anything by The Lucksmiths despite having heard so much about them and being supported by my friend band when they were last in the UK. Shame on me!

This looks wonderful, Kathryn. I'm very impressed. You didn't take the easy route like I did and include bands from the UK and the USA. Good suggestions Brandt. I've already got Watoo Watoo signed on for the Girlie Pop sequel.

This is awesome! Great job, Kathryn. And, yes, you must hear the Lucksmiths - probably start with their latest "why that doesn't surprise me", then, if you like that (hopefully, you will), go to the Candle Records website, and order them all - it'll be worth it.

Sue's right, all of their stuff is pretty great... I'd start from the other end of their catalog, though, but that's just a personal preference. :-) Either way, you won't be going wrong.
