Comment:

Alternate title--"I'm So Ambitious, I'm Looking Back." Which is what I'm doing..., looking back. After making a tape two days ago, for the first time in an eon, I thought about all the stuff I was listening too when I could really exert my purchasing power...so, in the early 80s this is what I was buying. A lot of fun to make this morning. The title comes from the Iggy song.., while I was visiting the "Zombie Birdhouse!!!!" (I still think Fun Boy Three's version of "Our Lips Are Sealed" smokes the original..,Jules Shear was underappreciated, and--at the time---Mental As Anything was better than most any band from Down Under.) This retrospective was brought to you by the men & women of the Brown Shoe Company---your neighbors in this area for fine shoe quality....

Thanks teapin & GH..., it WAS fun...my third (!) working title was: "We're (supposed to be) Havin' All the Fun" from the Fun Boy Three cut...of course, there are about fifteen alternate titles inside here....I stopped writing them down. Listening to it now...

Oh ::deflated:: Teapin said what I was gonna say! Sometimes being broke is a gift because you revisit things you have.

This is cool--esp the Oingo Boingo pick!
I totally agree about "Our Lips Are Sealed"--which takes on a new dimension with the background story (Terry Hall and Jane Wiedlin sneaking around together in the 80s)
