Comment:
I know there have been a few "Train" mixes lately...., throwin' in my tracks here. Had a lot of fun, and left out a chunk....no stops. (Updated/revised 7/19/02)
Feedback:
Well done.
this looks like it flows nicely. good mix, but... no tom waits?!
Thanx Nautticat....Ian, not only Tom Waits but also hard to leave out the Velvet Underground's "Downtown train"...and Savoy Brown's "Hellbound Train"....you could do a four or five volume set of just train songs...I reworked this three times to get a flow and transition that seemed right.
Hey, chef, I dunno how I could pass this one the first time round. Great stuff (though I'd probably have done without the Jethro Tull track - sorry, Michael :-)), plus any mix featuring Nazareth's version of Gone Dead Train is a winner in my book. AND it features one of the veeeery few good songs Reggie Dwight ever recorded. Would you be so kind as to add this to da famous pile, cher ami? Fangs.
Excellent set of songs, I particularly loved the Yardbirds' song (pretty radical reworking of the Johnny Burnette Trio original), and I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I liked the Bananarama song.
I just submittted a train mix, and Gerry McDonald commented that one of your early mixes was about trains. I guess this is it! It looks great. I swear, trains must be the second most common theme in music (love being the first)!
