Comment:
So much for altruistic intentions....., this mix was made with the express purpose of getting my wife outside, where she could work that Texan magic on any number of select cuts of once-living animals.....,briskets for fajitas, pork loin for sam'iches......she'll have beers, make mine rum.Feedback:
whilst you're waiting for your lady wife to cook up some of those former four-legged friends of ours, this mix will go down a treat as an appetizer. Nice work, my friend. I will be wanting this quite soon, I think.
This is quite cool... it definitely has "BQ" written all over it (in the best way). ;-)
Brisket fajitas...mmm...if I could only get MY wife to try that, instead of drowning it in ketchup/catsup/Kupchek/whatever...and ditto what Rob said. I'll take a few bottles of Boylan's Red Birch Beer, thank you!
Wish I had this to listen to while I was cooking up a couple racks of ribs over the weekend. Mmmm... Ribs....
Screw the mix trades! Send me some meat! ;) Great mix to play around the barbie (no, not that Barbie). Your mixes should be sent quite soon.
Yeah, this truly looks great. I wrote a story called "How To Build a Gas Grill" for my website. One of the key things I mentioned was the music you listen to while building said gas grill. This CD would be perfect for that task, of course.
Sauce on the right;
Utensils on the left;
headphones on & some iced Coronasin the bucket. There, in yr private little world, smoke wafting skyward, you strategically turn the individual pieces of grilled art that will soon embellish your plate...with another cold one!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

oh man, this looks great! if this won't inspire a Texan to burn some meat, well, you'd better just go ahead and switch to tofu.
Yummy!
Thanks everyone! (My wife has asked me to point out she doesn't eat MEAT....., but she can sure make it sing! ;-O Mo: I wish you did too! DJ J&C's Dad: I read that pice, good job! g.a.b.-man: Great waxings there...Franklin: we like tofu as well, well, not AS well..but...Rob: thx, "BQ" IS written on it..., Gerard: You have a copy whenever ya' need it. Ion: Hmmm...what'll ya' trade? SQ: thx,too!
Now that I've actually owned a copy of this CD for a few weeks, I'd just like to reiterate how great it is. Fun, fun stuff indeed.
This looks yummy!
I've listened to this mix a couple of times now and it is a non-stop party. Too many good songs to list my favorites, but I will say I'm glad I got turned on to Rev. Horton Heat via this and a few other recent mixes. Thanks, Valis!
Hey, if I can add a third comment to this, I just want to say I grilled some steaks tonight while listening to this and drinking a Milwaukee Premium Brewing Company Classic Lager. It was a frighteningly good combination.
I woke up Sunday morning and had to go to work to handle an emergency. I took this with me to listen to in the car. I was pissed and the tunes here seemed to fit. Worked just fine. I turned it up so loud that you coulda barbecued steaks against the side of my speakers. By the time I got to work, fixed things, got back in the car for the ride home, I was suitably mean and angry to handle the rest of what may come. Musta been born under a bad sign. Music must fit the occasion.
another one I missed - sorry. I love it, and one day when I work out how to burn multiple copies of a CD, I'd like to trade if you are interested. G. x
You have assembled quite a Blues Family Reunion here.
