Comment:

Dear god, this tape represents a week of hell. I spent days trying to work out what this was missing and in the end I just decided to transfer it from playlist to tape and see how it comes out. My previous tapes are all fairly mainstream alternative so I tried to include a couple of more original things, but then I discovered I didn't actually own anything that was alternative to the alternative, so it didn't really pan out. During the course of the week, though, I did discover Trash Palace, so all is not lost. I think "in my place" is a fantastic song and I've been itching to get it onto a compilation since it came out. The more observant of you might notice I'm smack bang in the middle of a Weezer kick, so they get the double-song treatment this time round. I question to wisdom of including a 6 minute Mansun song. I still can't get enough of "Lights Out" and this time the original version gets onto the tape.
Rejected choices for this tape include Korn, the Police, Run DMC, Steppenwolf, Kula Shaker, The Inspiral Carpets, The Clash, Captain America and Fountains of Wayne, so you can see I was all over the shop trying to fit this together. It's not my best work.
The name of the tape is the name I use for my death-metal side project. Or I will, when I have one.

Allow me to explain (or 'make excuses for dubious judgement'). The Korn track was a remix by Butch Vig, and would be the only Korn track I consider remotely good, for that reason.

Cool compilation! And Legacy's a fab song so definitely worthy of inclusion despite the length.
