Comment:

(a/k/a: "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun", from the Aussie psych' meisters' track)

Tep Ra..., yes, winter means it's damned cold outside, (that's a given, as omnipresent and in-your-face as a season gets), but it also means we in the northern hemisphere get a view of the Dog Star! Sirius..., the mighty.
The word "Tep Ra" means "the base of a triangle" and the words "septu" and "septch" both mean "triangle"---septit is Sirius and the triangle is its heiroglyph.
A soundtrack for getting out in the crisp winter air and paying homage to the brightest star in the sky........, get out and see some stars!
(This completes the "pentateuchos" which began with "His Satanic Majesty's 7th Request", and was followed by "Akih", "Echoe of an Ancient Head" and "Zuvuya.") Hail Oannes....! But I Babylon, don't I..?

Ha! :-) This is cool. I love that Klaatu song against all of my (potentially/arguably) better judgment.

Well, I'll be doggone. This is one seriously babylonian mix. Wonder what the Iron Chef would do with fish heads?

beam me up to some tropical planet, I've had enough of this frozen season. Beautiful stars or not. I'd rather stay inside with my furnace and this mix.

I know hardly anything on here, but it looks interesting!! And btw, I asked Kim about that band the 1987s and he's never heard of them - but it was probably one of those bands that just had 1 single or something - like that Pastoral Symphony track that I think's on the same comp. Re: the cold weather - it was actually *cold* here today - it was only 26c!!!

Fasten seat belts! Looks like a hell of a trip. Fly me to the moon, Meister (and include dis in da packet, man . . . oooh, he's the ***)! ;)

P.S.: Verspielte Zeit und Floorian look mighty frightening, indeed. Sour Krautrock, I presume?

Whoa! I think I need to hear this - the tunes I do know are great, so the others are keeping good company. Guilt by association!

I think since this is the final volume of your tetralogy, you should be celebrating the square rather than the triangle. In that vein, perhaps a couple of Pat Boone's songs would answer. Maybe you could choose from among his groovy covers of songs by African-American rhythm & blues artists. In "I Almost Lost My Mind," for example, Pat imbues the Ivory Joe Hunter tune with the all the angst and anger felt by white middle-class American youth in the 1950s, crying out against the alienation wrought by heartless, unbridled capitalism and lamenting the insanity of the Cold War, the military-industrial complex, and frozen TV dinners. ... Or something. ... Hell, maybe he was just trying to make a buck. Anyway, I guess your mix is pretty cool.

I only know a few of the artists on here (Kula Shaker, UFO,Bowie), but I know that if it's coming from Psilocibe 7, this mix GOTS to be good. Sounds like it would have fit in perfectly with my 3:30 AM snowy drive to work this morning. I'd love to hear this sometime, good sir.

How could you not have included Dogstar on this mix?! May you be forced to watch every Keanu Reeves movie ever made back to back! Seriously, this mix is a star in and of itself, and I too would be honored if you included it the shtack. And as Casey Kasem would say --"Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. Oh shit, can't anyone write anything better than this fucking drivel!? I mean, come on! I sound like a fucking Hallmark card! I can't believe I have to read this shit!"

Some sounds jarring the cobwebs in my head. I don't think I have listened to that UFO album in.. yipes.. close to 25 years. I will have Spaceways Inc. include this for in flight listening.

A worthy final chapter. Somewhere in Africa, there's a tribe that worships your mixes, and has etched the song lists into their cave walls. Save me a copy for when I'm thawed out and have delivered on previously promised discs :-)

What a "spacey" mix, old chum. This oughta send a few cerebellums spinning skywards. Don't know much on this apart from a couple of tunes, but if it's as good as your last few efforts, then it must be a great addition to a worthwhile and hugely enjoyable series.

Well, I'll be dog gone. Hopefully winter will as well. I took your advice and persevered, turned around three times before lying down and looking at the stars.
