Wow Valis! You're on a tear -- two mixes in one week. Looks like another sonic pleasure. Nice cover too -- you made my day, punk.

Not to be confused with Staunton, Illinois. Good job there, Valis.

awesome mix, Valis, and a great cover too. Not familiar with about 50% of this production, but I can't wait to hear it.

I was gonna do my Eastwood impersonation but it doesn't come off to well in type. A prolific week for you. This looks pretty cool.

Wow! I KNEW your 2nd name was Curtis! ;) I don't know half of this (and I mean this literally, the first 50% are completely unknown to me), the rest looks excelent, though.

The immortal valis .......... forever lighting the dark recesses. Melodious, melancholic, mysterious, mind-expanding, this is an amazing mix, truly one of the best I've heard in a good while. Song selection, sequence, sonic atmosphere ........... all impeccable. How did he do it? He managed to pick all my favorite songs from a bunch of artists I've never heard before. (OK, OK, I had heard a couple of the bands, but you get the idea.) I love listening to this mix.

David Kilgour, the Black Watch, Moose--excellent choices. I'm biased, I know, since I constantly listen to Moose and TBW, and I consider David Kilgour second only to Robert Scott as New Zealand's best export. Great mix, Valis.

I know 4 tracks here - Ashcroft, Lambchop, Squeeze and Pretty Things - all good - means I'm gonna have to check some of these other guys out and blow more cash - also great cover Valis.

I'm listening to this one right now, after having "The Longest Drink" and Sitarcon 3" (especially the latter) in HEAVY rotation. Just goes to show the wide range of emotions/influences/tastes expressed/demonstrated/incorporated and otherwise squished together by such a deft mixer as the valis. This is nothing like "Drink" or "Sitar" yet it is. The songs just drip into your earholes, slowly seeping into your brainpan, where they hibernate and resonate, quitely insisting that you notice their fermentation in the backwoods stills of your mind.

Ooh, the Sadies!!! You live up to your name. P.S. Don't think I've forgotten that I owe you one.
