I have Stewdio (which has one of the worst album covers ever) and some live album (hold, let me go check and see what it is called..."Alive, Alive, Oh!".

I have to hear this, Valis. I know nothing of the group, but your copius and extremely well-researched (as ever) notes, have whet my appetite for the assured pleasures which lay within. Great work, old buddy. Looking forward to more of the same in the new PPP series.

This looks like a steppe in the right direction. Always good to see single artist mixes of underappreciated and relatively unknown musicians like these guys.

Never heard of these guys in my life. Which makes the whole thing all the more enticing, of course. Great (and impressingly scholarly) notes, BTW.

The word's "impressively", of course. Stoopid me . . . ;)

Now THIS is what single-artist comps are all about --- hitting the obscure bands worth checking out. Haven't heard these guys in ages, and not much beyond a few tunes. I would love to hear this.

Hey i never heard most of your music. Are the bands in your collection mainly underground music? hehe i grew up is the suburbs so Im mainly into main stream music. I'll have to check some of of the artist's out in your mixes. This looks like a good band.

Great notes, and a very interesting-looking mix. very coincidental that I should mention Greek folk music that might have been heard there in the 1930's, and then find in these notes that the band was big in Greece and that you have a friend there. I'd love to include this in our inchoate trade.

I return from vacation only to find that the all-knowing one (venerable V) has [yet again] changed the course & tide of the site!

The effort that you put into your work is almost as impressive as your kind words!

Taj was a gift, the purrfect cat....I'm still crying and I'm not the sentimental type....

Go hug your kitty!
