Comment:
Taking 2 friends out for lunch today for their 40th birthdays -- an event with increasing frequency these days (though I'm still 3 years off myself) -- and decided to revise & revamp an old mix for them. Mostly mellow, mid-tempo stuff from the past half decade or so, focusing on music primarily just outside the mainstream that won't offend my mainstream friends as they edge ever closer to that inevitable mid-life crisis.
Feedback:
I'm only halfway there and this stuff sounds about my speed and includes some of my favorite artists. Does that mean I have old ears? Nice mix.
Mostly mellow, mid-tempo stuff , yeah that's just what we 40 old people like ;)
wonderful, wonderful mix.
Yep, some pretty cool stuff here.
Yup, we're all getting old. I remember thinking about what I'd be listening to in my 40s when I was just a punk in high school -- and now I'm just a few years away. Looks like you've assembled a fine mix -- but with nothing that will give them a heart attack.
There's a few tracks "with teeth" on here.., and at 40-it's just a number. Hope they appreciated this one! Good one Marc.
:)
Wow ... Excellent idea for a mix, and very well executed. I have and love many of these songs in my collection; you may have inspired me to do my own version of this!
