Comment:

Maybe not the best band to come out of the mid-'80's college radio glory years, but a damn fine (and sadly overlooked) one nonetheless. Dumptruck mixed the jangly guitars of the era with elements of country as well as a darker, gloomier feel than most of these bands had (thereby beating Uncle Tupelo to the party by a few years). After a few solid albums, they more or less became a vehicle for frontman Seth Tiven, who puts out a new album every few years with a revolving crew. Recent albums have taken on a harder rock edge, though I don't have the out-of-print Terminal disc.

Geeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz - I haven't heard these guys in ages. I only really remember the 'Positively' lp - some nice tunes there. What was that "big" single they had? Can't recall the title. Good to see these guys get the PopKulcher treatment!

Positively is still my favorite album of theirs (though its follow-up, For The Country, was also quite good).

Cool. ALways good to see single artist mixes devoted to artists on the fringe. You've inspired me to dig out my cassette copy (remember the days when you bought cassettes?) of D is for Dumptruck.
