Comment:
This is the first part of the "Sunday mixes", subtitled "songs from the seventh floor", which I live on. While I tried to keep the whole thing generally gentle, I tried to include some songs which have a really soaring, happy, it's-good-to-get-up-on-a-new-day quality. The Ed Harcourt track is basically the epitome of everything expressed in the mix, although I put Gomez before it because I wanted to move gradually into the EH song...if that makes sense. It's not quite as acoustic-based as I had originally planned, but definitely a "morning" mix (I think!)
Feedback:
the Ed Harcourt pick is great Sunday morning music (laying in bed, reading the papers, shagging and eating bacon butties) . . . at least that is what you do before kids . . . . (loads more to enjoy here too).
