Comment:

Sorry to be repetitive - I first posted this back in December, but when I tried to update it a while back, it was banished to the mists of time and the Internet...! Anyway, basically, it was a birthday present for a friend, who really enjoys, and is very knowledgeable about, classical music, but who also generally has very eclectic tastes. The tracks I chose, then, were "alternative" ones which have a bit of a classical twist to them, or which rely on instruments which aren't found in regular guitar / bass / drum bands - some of them have a bit of orchestral grandeur about them too! The Radiohead track nearly wasn't included because of the crowd noise and the guy who, upon realising what the song is, yells "IT'S LIKE SPINNING PLATES!" but, well, I guess crowd noise is just an occupational hazard with live tracks, and it's too beautiful a version of the song to leave out.

Very good! I totally agree with what you're saying about them being like classical pieces.
