Comment:

Oh Massive Attack, how I love thee. This started off as a simple, straight best-of mix after a week where I've been listening to them far too much, and decided that a mix would be the only way to get them out of my system - and then I realised that you can't really do them justice that way, so I went a wee bit mad and did 2 CDs' worth instead. It's maybe not totally comprehensive, but it consists of album tracks, remixes by them, and remixes of their own stuff by others - though all with a heavy focus on album-based material. also it's designed so that, if you do take out the straight album tracks in the order in which they're in the mix, you've got an (approximately!) 80-minute best-of right there too. Making this also meant that I was (finally) able to use the Singles 90-98 collection a little more to its full potential; one of these days I'll do a mix that consists of remixes from the collection, but this is enough of a binge for just now! The title is from the name of their remix of UNKLE's Rabbit In Your Headlights.

I don't know Massive Attack very well, but this looks like a really good idea, particularly with the remixes. Hurrah!

The only way I seem to listen to Massive Attack is in binges - if I listen to one album the odds are it'll be followed by at least one more. I like the idea of including some of their remixes for other folks as well. Nice.

Once again I'm with This Is Pop! (Detecting a theme here...) I, too, seem to binge listen to Massive Attack.., when that mood strikes. So much great stuff 2 CDs hardly seem to contain it, as you say. The first time I heard Karmacoma..."..Jamaica and Rome-uh...." I exploded and reassembled. Same with "Three"....and "Spying Glass", guess I'm a Protection kinda' guy....of the remixes they've done I really like "Mysterious Ways". Much. Good one Marie-H..! Glad for your wee madness.

Nice. Very cool. I've also got one of these, "Reduce me, seduce me, dress me up in Stussy", if you're interested in comparing notes...

I like MAttack 2, though I'm not a fan of that Massive AttackVMad Professor album and regret buying it! I don't think they've bettered their debut but I always find something on each of their albums to love.
