Comment:

A sort-of mixed genre for a trade with Laura_K, and a very long overdue one at that - apologies, Laura! She has done some wonderful folk/bluegrass mixes and evidently has an excellent knowledge of the genre, so what I wanted to do here was make something that wasn't strictly folk (at least, not entirely - there are some inclusions that could maybe be classified as that), but which was acoustic-based and took the folksy vibe in different directions, be they rock, indie pop or, uh, German bossa nova. Hope she likes it. Title from the Crooked Fingers track.

Fantastic... I think this sort of thing is slightly more tricky to pull off than it might look, but this is really nicely done.

This looks beautiful. I hope you won't mind if I steal that Aztec Camera song for my next mix (thanks for reminding me of how much I like it). :-)

Love this one Siobhan. The opener is one of my all-time favs. Alan Hull used to play regularly at a folk night at my local pub back in the days when. He was a lovely bloke sadly missed. Good to see Gorky's & Kathryn Williams too!

First, any mix that combines "Sweet Jane" with "We Could Send Letters" is purtee damn cool by me. But more importantly, since I know you collect Smiths covers, have you acquired the the Matinee Records tribute album "Romantic And Square Is Hip And Aware"? If not, you should. The Lucksmiths version of "There Is A Light" is highly recommended.
