Comment:

This is for a trade with Shawn Porter, a mixer of the highest order! :) It's a mixed-genre one, so doesn't have a theme as such, but seemed to take on a (mostly) happy and slightly poppy atmosphere all of its own in the process of making it - yep, even Joy Division. I'm having problems with the cover at the moment, but hopefully I'll be able to get that posted here shortly. Hope he enjoys it! Title courtesy of The Bees.

Hooray for Shawn! Wonderful mix Siobhan. I'm especially fond of the Dismemberment Plan -> Linda Perhacs -> The Album Leaf trio.

Got me 50 - 50 here Siobhan but I'm sure that the half I don't know is great too. I plagiarised said Album Leaf track of Gobi. BTW Those mixes should be with you any day now.

Woo-hoo!! This looks really great, Siobhan! I'm familiar with most of the artists on here, but the Franz Ferdinand and All Night Radio tracks are the only ones I've actually heard befoe. Which is always awesome when receiving a new mix. Very cool stuff, can't wait. :-)

Ooh, I want that Bees album if you want to dub it for me in our trade... ;-) Nice mix. Am I a "mixer of the highest order", too? *grin*

I'd be much obliged to do so Rob - and of course, if mixer rankings existed, you'd be way up there!

Y'know, I've been meaning to tell you how much I love this mix, Siobhan. It's always been in fairly regular rotation for me. It especially gets a lot of play early in the morning (before the store opens) while my stock crew is getting set up for the day. Several of my good friends that I work with love it, as well. (they're all girls...but most of my good friends have always been.) Anyways, thank you!
