Comment:
An attempt to create an ambient mix without, for the most part, using typically ambient music (with the exception of Plaid, perhaps) - I really like the idea of creating such a mood through simply the flow of a mix, and the way certain sounds at the beginnings and ends of tracks seem to lock together. I liked Lego when I was small - can you tell? :)
Feedback:
Drat you discovered Hang On Siobhan, I was gonna put it on the next mix trade with you! Don't know much else on here save for Plaid & R.E.M. but I'm with you when you talk about the flow of a segue.
Gallo, Shuggie, Bebel, die unfassbar guten Matmos, Patsy Cline & Nurse with Wound alle auf einer CD! Seeehr sch÷n. Da verzeihe ich sogar den kleinen REM-Ausrutscher . . . ;)
Looks excellent, Siobhan.
Ditto the friendly Irishman.
Like what I know here, Shuggie, Bebel, Plaid, Patsy, Walkmen, REM but have no stomach for that Gallo character.
Looks terrific - and I still like to mess w/Legos...
alright, you window licker, you. there are points to be given out. props for the walkmen (although "the rat" is the daddy of walkmen songs), and bigger propsfor patsy cline and R.E.M. there are points to be removed, however, for the inclusion of vincent gallo, a personal distaste of mine. so in conclusion, i give you a final grade of - book.
and, do you remember the lego harbour you had back in the day? that stuff was tiiiight - if you feel like sending me this mix, 1 - you know where to find me, and 2 - a bit of ambience (without resorting to massive attack or full on jazz) would be appreciated this way.

oh, yeah, and you remember your smiths promise... or do i have to send the beta band round?
Nice.
Wonderful Siobhan. Love the Shuggie -> Bebel especially.
Siobhan - this looks wonderful, eclectic, and pretty much beyond the universe of my collection. If you threw this in to our trade I'd love to send you another. Let me know.
Much of this Siobhan, I'm unfamiliar with, but I know I like the REM and Bebel Gilberto..Cline too....miss yr usually high standard art work!
Very nice, like the appearance of 'Crazy' and I always loved that REM song. And a large cheer for Lego.
Really nice stuff all the way 'round, Siobhan. The Gallo->Patsy stretch looks especially nice and that's my fave R.E.M. track off of that album.
This looks absolutely great, Siobhan. I loved lego too, and stickle-bricks. Anyone remember them?
Excellent, Siobhan!
how cool to have your name in a song. I could chill with this! My 4 year old son is just getting into Lego (hey! hey!) and there's stickle bricks in the loft just waiting to come down.
Nice. Really dig the Shuggie/Bebel 1-2 punch. -Dale
This is lovely.
crikey - a Nurse With Wound/REM segway... you don't see a lot of those! This looks well lovely as only a CD with Patsy Cline and Matmos could do really...
looking really soft
