Comment:
A revision of volume one, which I did last year after reading MOJO's long and excellent feature on post-punk - needless to say that's a very well-thumbed copy. :) The artists used are (mostly) the same as before (nothing very obscure, and a combination of old and new stuff) but, for the most part, I've used different tracks, and changed the running order. After I revised volume three, I also removed the Young Marble Giants track from that and used it at the beginning of this one instead - it just seemed to fit a lot better. Title taken from a Factory Records / Hacienda poster.
Feedback:
A very fine concoction indeed, Siobhan. I'm sure that I'd have this one cranked loud enough to disturb all the critters within a three-mile radius.
Great mix of the old and new.
Lovely. I may want this one. *thinks that now is the time to finally thumb through Siobhan's old mixes for the trading list*
i heart gang of four... they may even do a reunion if emphyazema doesn't take the life of the lead singer. if so, i'm seein' em' in chicago NO MATTER WHAT!!!
This mix rings my clock. Fantastic work! I echo Rob's comment.
lots of great tunes here. Especially Sham69, Slits, bahaus and Pere Ubu.
Outstanding lineup here Siobhan. I never tire of that Teardrop Explodes choice...(lyrically baffling that one.)
Great stuff.
Ah, this is just great; I never tire of the Slits, Pere Ubu, or that Gang of Four cut . . .
This is really great Siobhan.
Ditto Curtis, bear, misfit, et al. I'm liking all of this stuff.
Yeah, great mix. A lot of steller tracks... espeically liking The Slits and the Bunneymen tracks.
Excellent mix, as usual, Siobhan. Probably my favorite Echo track ever along with a whole bunch of other gems. Still enjoying your mixes from our trade last year. Hope you're doing well.
Oh man, keep this up!
Cool. Ditto Shawn on the Bunnymen track.
valis is right re Copey's lyrics but who'd waste time trying to fathom Jules's mind. Stacks of personal fave artists here. (Again missed this dunno where I was?)
