Comment:

(Title from the Blue Nile track, and many thanks to Cliff for the Cosmic Rough Riders.) This is a mixed genre one I finished over the weekend - it all started with the Constantines track and is going to my boyfriend, who's already received about 4 from me (and I really hope he does like them and isn't getting sick of them....!) It is purely a mixed-genre, and the only real stipulation is that I don't use any artist I've already used on mixes for him before, with the exception of, in this case, the New Order track: I recently discovered this newer, great version of it (on the bonus CD of Retro), and had to put it on because the song reminds me of him anyway. So, this is for Matthew, who has "green eyes, blue eyes, grey eyes..."

I also have green eyes, blue eyes & grey eyes, depending upon what I'm wearing. (Not that this means anything, just a tidbit.) Beautiful mix--I'm sure he'll love it. Top-notch Tupelo, Talking Heads and Swell Maps tracks, especially.

A lot of great picks here, despite (or perhaps because of) the negative undercurrent of booze and despair. I hope everything's ok!

If the boy has the good sense to date *you*, I'm sure he'll appreicate such a great mix. I especially like the Ben Folds, Waits, and Swell Maps cuts, but the hole thing is very nice. As Mohr says,he's a lucky one!

There's a couple of these I really dig, and quite a few I just don't know. As Jenny said, your bloke has the good taste to date you ... and your mixes are an extension of your personality, n'est pas ... so, ergo, he should like this mix, right? : )

You went for three CDs without using anything from the new Mission of Burma? Kudos on your self-control! (^_^) I also love the Lloyd Cole and Billy Bragg selections.

Beautiful Siobhan. (I'd expect no less.) Hooo! Hadn't thought of that particular Lloyd Cole track in a long time. (Brings back many hazy 80s nights.) Like the Swell Maps, SLF-!, etc...hell, I like it all. A lot.

I'd love to hear Jeane by Billy Bragg. I used to have a tape of him singing the Faces' song 'Debris' and it was lovely.
