You Gotta Be Loose to Rock and Roll:
Rockabilly Stompers to Know and Love
Comment:
31. The Pearls - Zippidy Zippidy Zoom32. Bill Riley and his Little Green Men - Flying Saucer Rock and Roll
33. Rex Garvin & the Mighty Cravers - Emulsified
A gift for a friend who asked me to expand his knowledge of rockabilly - God! I love requests like that.
Well, there's no "Rockabilly" category, so I guess I don't have to apologize for the fact that I interpreted the term pretty loosely.
Thanks to Michael (mckbrd) for "Flying Saucer Rock and Roll," and to Sean Lallyfor "20 Flight Rock." And to all the people who put the wonderful "One Cup of Coffee" on mixes. I've got it on an old Glen Glenn LP, but it just sounds so wonderful in so many different contexts.
Feedback:
You're the gal 4 me...great stuff!
If I weren't so danged tired, I'd do the ugbangi stomp whilst I read the list. Nothin' but rockabilly fun here!
Nice one Jenny! yes indeed, wouldn't mind hearing this one....
Beautiful. Can we trade for this soon, please? (P.S. Yes, I owe you an e-mail.)
Excellent choices, Jenny! Nice work.

I'm with everyone else on this one.
With that opener, this mix, or any other for that matter, can never fail.
Looks like a knowledge expanding mix to me -- certainly something I couldn't have made. Be-boppa-looo-laa!!
