Comment:

Full title: "Surfing on a rocket, or, how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb, the bomb, the bomb that will bring us together". This was, quite simply, a big ol' fun mixed-genre and part of the present for my boyfriend's 21st - he liked the Wedding Present track a lot, which I was pleased about, because I could listen to it over and over again for hours without getting tired of it. But I really hope he enjoys the rest of it too. Many thanks Moe for the Simian track and to Rob for the Wire - it was only after I had chosen it that I realised he had also used that same Weddoes track on the mix it came from; no plagiamixarism intended, Rob! And a few side notes: on that version of "Ask", it fades out with the lyrics to "Just Like Heaven", so there really was no contest for track 15. The version of "She Bangs The Drums" is slightly different to the original album version - it's a little more spangly and souped-up. Also, this is the start of a concerted effort to make my mixes more detailed!

Very well done. Great music, great cover, great detail! I've always loved movies (and mixes) with 2 titles from which to choose.

This is too cool for shoes. If he's worthy of you, he'll dig it all.

Lucky boyfriend, as this is one tasty mix. Great tracks by Wire, Pavement, Stone Roses, the Wedding Present and Air. The latter was used in a car commercial in the States. Actually you can thank Valis for the Simian, since I got that from one of his mixes. Not sure where he got it from.
