Comment:

Another one for Matt. I gave this to him when he came to stay last week; now that he's gone back, there's 281 miles to contend with.... Title taken from This Is A Low, the only song I know of which is based on the Shipping Forecast. (But if there are any others, do let me know!)

A rare old mix indeed. I used to share a flat with a trawlerman in Newlyn, Cornwall, and you would not believe some of the shenanigans that goes on in the Bay of Biscay in the middle of the night. Rum, sodomy and the lash are the very least of it. Smuggling, piracy and jiggery-pokery no less.

What a trip! Gale-force winds blowing through "jimmy jimmy", then a calmer stretch around that bird on the wire . . . altogether a rollicking voyage.

Loads to like her Siobhan & that's my all-time fave Pistols track to boot.If you want the rest of the bass series I can sort that for you along with anything else that might catch your eye. It's snowing here in France so I've got the day off to play hooray!
