Perchance Al Sogno
Comment:
Through a lattice of sunbeams, drifting by opened windows distant street sounds filtered by angel voices and elusive strings, delicate keys unlock memories of which you were unaware...Listen carefully and the pain will ease.Hey, whatever, perhaps you would have preferred: This is some good shit! Well, yes. Yes it is.

Feedback:
Not a huge opera fan--but I do like choruses (Wolfie's Requiem in particular, & Carmina Burana) and I like bits of La BohFme -- this looks like a lovely listen...'praps a download is in order (everyone's doing it these days).
jest whu d'ya thank y'are with ya high-falooten muzic. just kidding. this looks, as you say, like some good shit. beautiful shit even.
Oh boy! Could this be the one one to convert me? Could this save a wretch like me? Im not sure but it looks palatable even to my uncultured ears. Any chance of hearing it all then? Im with g.a.b.l@bs, we want more, we want more...
Is it Christmas in AOTM land? Can't wait to check it out...
Classic! ....al.
Oh seemingly the whole mix is here. Ignore my stupidity. I'm Irish ya know.
Is that Paul Klee I see before me? Downloading now for a bedtime listen - see you In Paradisum.....
Why Luke. You are quite the art expert. It is indeed Paul Klee. It's called "Ancient Sound". By the way, this very disc is on its way to you as we speak. I can only hope it's not an anti-climax.
You don't see many classical mixes around here. This truly enriches the AOTM terrain.
Very well done, Nomates! I was pleasantly surprised to see a classical mix posted, and this one truly looks superb. I'm diggin' the mosaic artwork as well!
Yes, very well done indeed. There aren't many classical mixes on this site but you were brave in posting this. And your courage has paid off. I'm about to take a listen....
Very nice.
This is an absolutely beautiful mix. Very relaxing. Thanks very much for the link. I'm now sold on YouSendIt.com.
Beautiful songs. Very nice to see classical music "mixed" well. Nice cover too.
How refreshing! I'm impressed.
You do have a shocking side to you.
This is pretty lovely actually, I fell asleep listening to it this afternoon, i think thats a compliment as Im a world renowned insomniac. Your bold move has paid off. Oh theres that knob again though, Freud would have a field day with me.
You surprise me, Barry. Firstly you cast aspersions on your own nationality -- may god bless every last one of them (and that includes me) -- then you allude to a mysterious "knob". Furthermore, I have re-read every page of "Freud's Field Day" and there is no mention of you -- not even in the appendices. You appear to be suffering from, what we artsy-fartsy types call Mal - aria --- ha ha ha ha --- d'ya geddit? God I'm sooo very very very sad. But then, as you have also stated I'm Irish ya know. And sleep....
HA ! I know I commented on this earlier...I just come back to read Nomates comments...he cracks me up (he's got one o' dem fast brains!

Classic.
Nomates, this has "class." Very nice work. There is not that much opera at AOTM, but you might like to look at my Divas With Daggers and MKK's Hot Hot Mezzo Lovin'.
Congratulations, sir. I saved repeat comments for the best of the last. I do not hate opera, I have a strange attraction to it. But I do not know it as well as I should and I am looking forward to the listen on the next trip to the beach. It is very very commendable that such a mix would be chosen as MOTW and indeed the bar on the site has been raised not only competitively but also for class. Deutche Grandmasphone makes a comeback. This is perhaps a mix my wife will listen to entirely, and even I don't get that kind of consideration. Again, congratulations. Bravo. Flying roses.
Congratulateions on MOTW. I'm sorry to say that I don't know anything about your selections. That's gotta change.
Bravo Nomates for a richly deserved accolade and for bringing much needed culture into our lives. The fat lady has sung and declared thee king.
I hope Mixxers not a fat lady...
Well done nomates. Sorry I missed this.
Thanks for all your positive comments, but I think you've got the wrong impression with the "hate dance/rap" mix. "We hate dance and we hate rap, but we love to contradict ourselves, that's a wrap" is the beginning of the chorus to "On Top," the first song on the dance album.
this is an excellent mix. tah for making this available. "strangely" enough, last week I finished a mix with Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata and yes, hesitated. i had to exorcise some goth mixes...
A superb mix (again!)
the ones that don't have a * mean i have them on cd. i'm a record snob. as for lower case letters, abominable, the whole lot.
i definitely meant upper case letters.
well done nomates... tho' you appear to have many mates here!
A Well deserved mix of the week for one of the most erudite & humerous contributors to this site!
Props for including King's College Choir. Thanks for the comment -- I just don't seem to have much time to make mixes nowadays. Still great fun though!
truely a beautiful mix. you asked me why i don't write in upper case letters, so i will tell you. i am a writer and an artist. i use only lower case because i like the things i create to be aesthetically pleasing. i find upper case letters ugly. is this explanation good enough for you, or did you think it was something deeper? sorry to disappoint you. or perhaps i should ask, why are you people such nazis about capitalization? my grammar and spelling make my writing quite understandable, so i'm not sure why i get so many complaints.
i sent you an email. i lost a lot of my music! looking for someone who dLed my Sleep Erase Renew mix.. if you have it, can you upload it?
I missed this one. How is such a thing possible? Beautiful.
WOW. Memories of music humanities classes are washing over me... this is stunning... sorry I missed it before!
Ah, lovely, and there definitely aren't enough classical mixes around here. Any chance of getting a copy of this?
Lovely indeed: this dropped through my letterbox a few days ago, so thank you for that. Likely to become a Sunday morning staple for me.
By the way, I ended my debut mix with the very same track...
