Comment:

I know this is hard to believe. I swear. I SWEAR that I started putting this together before I even LOOKED at rob and lo-fi's year-end compilations... I just didn't have a chance to put it all together due to some intense interstate travels in the last month (8000 miles added to the odometer!)... but it wouldn't be right to post this without spilling a little wine in homage of a couple AOTM gods... or at least a shout-out in lieu of flowers: both "I know nothing and I'm overjoyed" and "Intelligently Designed" are absolutely stunning. And Sporter, you know I love you man.

That said, although you'd never guess it, this compilation marks a pivotal moment in an incipient relationship... and one that I cannot afford to fuck up. I'm not really an "us talk" kinda guy... and frankly, she's not really an "us talk" kinda girl... but it's time to put that aside for a few hours and develop some kind of vocabulary to define what we have...

Ditto Rob on the Cohen song, the rest of this looks quite splendid too.

mmm. yeah. that may be my favorite one on here... can you keep a secret? I heard it for the first time about a month ago... oh the travesty of exploring contemporary music without any "roots" education.

wow...muchas gracias for the props, my friend. This looks really superb, especially the opening stretch from 1 to 10.Rob and lo-fi are two of my favorite mixers on the site, as well and I've done many trades with them. I don't think that we've put together one though. We'll have to do something about that real soon, y'know? Good luck with the relationship stuff.
