Has functioned as the soundtrack to a documentary shoot and an evening spent assembling the packaging for 90 CDs; it always fit perfectly. I confess that I am a sucker, I never stopped loving the new wave. It's nice to see you here!

Alright, yes, this mix was made for me, but even if it wasn't...The Anniversary track has off-mic yelling and it makes me want to cheer. Read The End of Vandalism now, if you haven't already.

Yeah, I made this one. I have to get it on my page somehow. I really have to make my own copy of this tape.

caps lock does it again, and then sticks a great title on it.

remember there was that saturday night live sketch and christopher walken says "this next song...i wrote...after hearing it on the radio"? and he's a lounge singer in a cheap restaurant singing "shattered" ("sha-doo-BEE!") bursting into tears in the middle of the song? this mix is fantastic like that.

hard to believe that this is a "first-ever stab at thematically-driven stuff". and yet it is! the concept is talking the talk, sure, but he walked the walk with this mix, too.

okay so fondness for the new pornographers is intensified by my canadian citizenship, and it's always good to find someone throwing out what is pretty much the only song by that dog that i like. but what happens when the aislers set swarms you? when you hear arthur lee's voice? when you're hit with looper and you don't care that it was all over "vanilla sky"? you go under, and it's beautiful.

he was breathing in the clean country air and drowning out the sound of the neighbours yelling. i've said it before - it's like he's creating sun right here.
